Workshop on Ethics for Research with Aboriginal Populations

A half-day workshop on new guidelines for research with Aboriginal populations will be held Jan 12 from 8:45 a.m. to 12 noon.

The workshop, hosted by the Research Ethics Office, will cover new guidelines issued by CIHR, and explain the role of the Research Ethics Board in reviewing proposals involving research with Aboriginal populations. The workshop will wrap up with a case study. Materials will be presented by representatives from CIHR and the National Council on Ethics in Human Research.
