some important developments regarding the 2007 Northwest Association of Teacher Educators (NWATE) Conference, Teacher Preparation at the Crossroads: Reform, Professionalization and Exemplary Practice to be held March 15-17, 2007 at the Red Lion Hotel Seattle Airport.
Because of the holiday season we have had several requests for the extension of the conference proposal deadline. In response to those requests the deadline for conference proposals has been extended to February 5, 2007. We invite all who are interested in presenting papers, programs and research to submit proposals. Click the following link http://www.nwate.org for details.
NWATE is also asking for your participation in the creation of our new NWATE Teacher Education Policy Committee. This committee will be responsible for developing a voice for teacher educators regarding important teacher education policy issues. We invite all NWATE conference attendees to attend this session Friday, March 16th in the afternoon.
The conference highlights include a keynote address by Dr. Barnett Berry, the NWATE Policy Dialogue on Teacher Certification, our collaborative forum on teacher education practice, exemplary program presentations, research on teacher education and much more.
