A fabulous teacher in action

I just watched a video of an amazing teacher in action that was posted by @thecleversheep , and I wanted to share it with you. Beyond the hype of the message, which is wonderful but perhaps a little saccharine for my taste, I was enthralled by how this teacher kept setting up opportunities for his student to shine. He scaffolded the learning, he went through some incredible gymnastics with the learner, and he elevated the process of learning so his student could see new possibilities in what he was doing. Wow.

Here’s the item, if you want to see it for yourself (it runs about 30 minutes)

Benjamin Zander video

The only conductor to ever lead the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra, Zander is a prophet of human potential and an unrivaled champion of joie de vivre. Watch as he helps unlock the boundless potential of a 15 year old cellist and teaches the entire Pop!Tech audience what it means to live in a world of possibility.
