The closing date for the recruitment for Manager, Media Services, Distance Education and Learning Technologies (DELT), Memorial University of Newfoundland, has been extended to August 21, 2009.

Reporting to the Associate Director, the Manager, Media Services will provide leadership in the development of media within DELT.
In addition to managing the day-to-day operational and resource requirements of video production and multimedia services, this position will ensure that DELT’s technical requirements are satisfied and delivery capacities are maintained and enhanced.
Duties include proactively driving new techniques and equipment by investigating, recommending, and leading the implementation of emerging technologies that have strategic advantage for DELT and its stakeholders; planning for future media production requirements; recommending the purchase of new equipment and resources; providing strategic advice on media production matters to DELT’s management team and key stakeholders; managing all media projects by working closely with internal and external clients to ensure their requirements are satisfied and completed on time and on budget; analyzing existing operational arrangements, identifying opportunities for improvement and determining appropriate solutions; ensuring compliance with DELT’s quality management system and leading a process of continuous improvement from a capital equipment, human resources and process perspective.
