VLC research methods slides

Hmmm… I’ve had a couple of issues with WordPress recently — they blocked postings to my site for awhile because of concerns they had about content, but it turned out to be a mistake.  Evidently, while I was sorting it out, a post from a couple of days ago disappeared.  Here it is again:

I did a presentation today at the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand (Dunners to locals) about the various research methods we’ve used and abused over the past several years while we have been studying online learning communities. It was good fun, and really great to have a group who were interested in looking under the hood (bonnet) of how our research has been done, not just the conclusions we’ve been coming to.

At any rate, here are the slides if you’re interested too.  They will, of course, be fairly opaque without my sparkling commentary, but you may still find something useful hiding in them.
